Hutchinson police are investigating the theft of a purse from a Maple Grove woman that ultimately netted the thief just under $500 worth of gift cards, cigarettes, and sandwiches. The victim called the Hutchinson Police Department on July 26th after her purse had been stolen in Maple Grove and checks were then written at the Cenex and Sinclair Convenience Stores on Hutchinson. The checks were used to purchase $318 in gift cards alone.
