Eden Valley-Watkins plans to hire a full-time superintendent next year to replace Larry Peterson.
The St. Cloud Times reports Peterson is leaving June 30th. Peterson is in his 11th year on the job.
The 62-year-old has been on a three-fourths time contract since 2008. Peterson says board members decided Monday they want to return to a full-time superintendent for 2012-2013.
Peterson retired in 2008 and went to three-fourths time as the district confronted budget challenges.
The board plans to take applications in November and December. It will review the applications in January and will do interviews in February. The plan is to hire someone in March who would start July 1st.
