A St. Cloud man was arrested Wednesday and faces possible charges after a high-speed chase that reached speed of 100 miles an hour.
Authorities say the 35-year-old suspect was arrested just after 8pm in Wright County.
The suspect was wanted on a Department of Corrections warrant for theft of a motor vehicle.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office received a call at about 6:30 Wednesday morning that the suspect was in the St. Anna area. When a deputy spotted him in a vehicle, the deputy tried to pull him over but the suspect took off. After a chase from Stearns County Road 9 to Freeport, the sheriff’s office called off the chase. The suspect was later located in Wright County and arrested. In addition to the original warrant charges, he also faces a possible charge of fleeing police in a motor vehicle.
