Kimball City Council has scheduled a special meeting this week to discuss and adopt the city’s preliminary 2012 budget and discuss the design of an upcoming utility and street improvement project.
The meeting is Thursday evening at 6:30 at Kimball City Hall.
City officials say the project includes water and sewer line improvements, the refinishing of the city’s water tower and rehabilitation of the city’s water treatment plant filter with a price tag of just under $3-million.
The cost includes funding from a United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development grant.
Work is expected to begin next year.
