Nonprofit organizations around the state are asking Minnesotans to “give to the max.”
The 3rd Annual Give to the Max Day is November 16th with a goal of raising as much money as possible for state charities in 24 hours at www.GiveMN.org
GiveMN has raised more than $33 million for more than 5,000 nonprofits since its 2009 debut.
New this year will be a donation leaderboard with three tiers of prize grants as incentives. Grants of $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000 will be awarded to the three nonprofit organizations that receive the most dollars. Grants also will be made to the top three small nonprofit organizations — those with budgets under $750,000 — that receive the most dollars. Nonprofits must register online to compete in this category.
Grants of $15,000 and $5,000 also will be made to the top two Minnesota colleges or universities that receive the most dollars. Last year, over 42,000 donors contributed to the cause.
