Ridgewater College observes its 50th anniversary with a celebration from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Willmar campus. The public is invited.
The event celebrates the opening of the school as Willmar Community College on September 5th, 1961, at the site of a former Air Force radar station.
Officials say the event will include department and program reunions, auto program car show, campus tours, prizes, live music by Gig Noonan, food, alumni art show, kids’ games and a wide range of fun for the entire family.
The homecoming tailgate party will be held at 4 p.m. at Hodapp Field, followed by the Warriors football game at 6pm.
The celebration at the Hutchinson campus will be in October, on the 15th, from 10a.m. to 3p.m.
