With Sunday’s win over Phoenix, the Minnesota Lynx have advanced to the WNBA Finals for the first time in franchise history. Game 1 of the best-of-five WNBA Finals between the Lynx and either the Atlanta Dream or the Indiana Fever will be on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. CDT at Target Center; the game will be broadcast live on ESPN2. The Lynx, the No. 1 seed in this year’s WNBA Playoffs presented by Boost Mobile, defeated the Mercury in the best-of-three Western Conference Finals 2-0 to advance. The Eastern Conference Finals series between the Fever and Dream is tied at 1-1, with the series-deciding Game 3 to be played Tuesday, Sept. 27 in Indiana.
