Lynx to Face Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream in Best-of-Five 2011 WNBA Finals Presented by Boost Mobile
Lynx to host Game 1 at Target Center on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN;
7,500 fans to receive a commemorative Lynx Finals Untamed pom-pom on Sunday
The Minnesota Lynx will face the Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream in the 2011 WNBA Finals presented by Boost Mobile. Atlanta, the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference, earned its spot in the Finals by defeating the Indiana Fever Tuesday to win the series, 2-1. Minnesota swept the Phoenix Mercury in the Western Conference Finals, 2-0, to earn its first-ever WNBA Finals bid. Game 1 of the best-of-five series will be played at Target Center on Sunday, October 2 at 7:30 p.m. 7,500 fans will receive a commemorative Lynx Finals Untamed pom-pom.

The Dream and Lynx met twice during the regular season, with Minnesota winning both contests. After starting the season 3-9, the Dream went 17-5 over their next 22 games to finish the regular season at 20-14. Atlanta is making its second consecutive WNBA Finals appearance after falling to the 2010 WNBA Champion Seattle Storm, 3-0, a season ago.
