A federal indictment unsealed last week charges a 31-year-old
Hutchinson man with conspiring to distribute marijuana and methamphetamine.
The indictment, which was filed on September 8th, charges Joshua Anthony Munoz with one count of conspiracy, two counts of distribution of methamphetamine, and one count of possession with intent to distribute 50 or more grams of methamphetamine.
On September 22nd, the indictment was unsealed following Munoz’s initial appearance in federal court.
The indictment alleges that between 2009 and April 29th, 2011, Munoz conspired with others to distribute marijuana and 50 or more grams of methamphetamine. In addition, it alleges that on December 7th and 10th, 2009, Munoz distributed methamphetamine, and that on April 29th, 2011,
Munoz possessed with intent to distribute 50 or more grams of methamphetamine.
If convicted, Munoz faces a potential maximum penalty of life in prison for conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute and 20 years for each count of distribution.
