Blazing fall colors are peaking in some areas of the state as the leaves empty the chlorophyll that makes them green. The Minnesota DNR’s website has information on where and when the leaves are at their best for viewing.
After that, what do you do with all those pretty leaves after they turn dingy brown and fall to the ground?
If you live in Hutchinson, you can rake them out into the street.
Public Works Supervisor John Olson says the city’s leaf vacuuming service will most likely begin on October 18th however, Olson says if things change dramatically, leaf vacuuming could begin as early at October 11th.
Information will be sent out to residents in the next utility billing and via the city’s Everbridge notification system. Information is also available on the city of Hutchinson’s website.
