On Saturday from 10am to 2pm, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office and Annandale Police Department will be among agencies open to accept unwanted prescription drugs.
The event is held in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) national drug take back initiative which gives the public the opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
You can bring your medications for disposal to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office located at 3800 Braddock Ave NE, Buffalo; or the Annandale Police Department at 30 Cedar Street E, Annandale.
The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office unwanted prescription drug receptacle is located inside the main lobby next to the Civil division counter. Outside of the October 29th event, the public can dispose of unwanted prescription drugs between the hours of 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday with extended hours until 6pm on Thursday.
