Minnesota Wild: Player Watch 07 Nov 11

D Clayton Stoner injured his finger in the second period of an Oct. 27 game against Anaheim. He missed his fourth straight game Saturday vs. St. Louis. He is close to a return.

C Matt Cullen has been exceptional to start the season, showing off his speed and tied for the team lead with eight points and leading with six goals.

D Cam Barker missed his third straight game with a sore shoulder — he’s not saying which one in the interests of self-preservation — but says he’s ready to return for Tuesday’s game in Montreal.

LW Pierre-Marc Bouchard scored a goal and two assists in Thursday’s 5-1 win over Vancouver. He hopes it was a breakout game after a slow start for the playmaker.

G Josh Harding made 30 saves in a fourth straight win Saturday (2-1 over St. Louis), but coach Mike Yeo said the plan is to start G Niklas Backstrom to open a five-game trip Tuesday in Calgary.

D Greg Zanon aggravated a groin injury in the third period Oct. 20 at Edmonton and missed his sixth straight game Saturday against St. Louis. He is out indefinitely.
