After earning first place in the Minnesota 4-H State Project Bowl competition last April, the Wright County 4-H Dairy Bowl team competed in the National 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl in Louisville, Kentucky, this month (November).

This competition was part of the North American Livestock Exposition. Representing Minnesota, the high-schoolers competed against 16 other teams from across the nation. The Wright County team placed third overall, narrowly losing to first-place Wisconsin and second-place New York.

4-H Dairy Bowl contestants compete in a “quiz-bowl” type competition, answering questions about dairy nutrition, anatomy, diseases, breeding, and more.
