The attorney for a Golden Valley man accused of murdering a Henderson woman this past summer plans to challenge statements his client made following his arrest for the crime.
19-year-old Christopher Tillman is accused of stabbing 19-year-old MSU Student Josselyn Bishop multiple times and leaving her in a Mankato ditch to die on July 8th.
The two had reportedly been discussing their relationship when he allegedly got upset and stabbed her, and then chased her down as she attempted to flee and stabbed her several additional times.
Tillman had reportedly given a detailed account of the events that lead to Bishop’s death following his arrest, but his attorney says he will be challenging those statements as well as search warrants used to collect evidence.
Attorney Barry Voss has until January 5th to file his written motions challenging the evidence.
Tillman’s next court hearing is tentatively set for January 30th, and the earliest a trial would start is next August.
