An area football star has been chosen as an All-American. Waconia Quarterback and Linebacker Maxx Williams is one of three Minnesotans chosen to participate in the Sempre Fidelis All American Bowl. Williams joins Mankato West Quarterback Philip Nelson, and Hopkins WR Andre McDonald in the game January 3rd in Phoenix, Arizona. The game is sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps and participants are chosen for representing the USMC’s core values of commitment, courage, and honor…in addition to their skills on the gridiron. The game is on TV, broadcast on the CBS Sports Network that day.
