New Ulm firefighters were called out to a truck fire Wednesday night on Highway 14 on the west end of town. The milk truck had pulled to the side of the road across from the New Ulm Wal-Mart after its brakes apparently ignited. The fire spread to the backside of the truck’s cab before it was extinguished. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
