A Paynesville woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash west of New London that also injured a woman from Kandiyohi.
64-year-old Betty Boehl died after her 2007 Jeep was struck broadside by a vehicle at the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and state Highway 9, near Sibley State Park.
According to the State Patrol, Boehl was traveling east on Highway 9 and failed to stop at a stop sign.
Her vehicle was struck by a 2009 Chevy Traverse, driven by 55-year-old Ruth Christenson of Kandiyohi, that was going south on Highway 71.
Christenson was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash happened just after 4:30pm Tuesday.
