Battalion Chief Retires 11 Jan 12

After over two-and-a-half decades as a member of the Hutchinson Fire Deparment, the Batallion Chief is retiring.

Over a 27-year career, Jim Popp rose through the ranks from Firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, Fire Inspector, and Fire Marshall. Most recently Popp served the Hutchinson Fire Department as Batallion Chief.

A ceremony was held last week (January 2nd) to honor Popp’s achievements and service to the Hutchinson Fire Department and the community. He officially retired on January 7th.
