To Mary’s Family, I was shocked to hear of the tragic fire and the loss of Mary and her dog. I can’t remember its name right now but I know she loved her dog. My sincere sympathy to all of you with God’s blessings.

I was so very sad to hear about Mary.. I knew her through Weight Watchers and was so very proud of her accomplishments and she was an inspiration to the group.. I will never forget her beautiful blue eyes! God be with all of you and comfort you.

The loss of Mary is like losing a dear sister to me. I loved her and she always
cared about other people, she was a beautiful example for me. I remember how she talked about making scrapbooks for her nieces, and family. She spend hours, days and weeks doing
this special book filled with photos of the family and friends of her mother. I feel part of me is
gone, she meant so much to me. I truly will miss her.

Mary’s neighbors, friends & those who knew her in the groups she attended not only miss her, but are sadden that we all will NOT have closure. We needed that NOW, not later at a memorial service. Hopefully the Schmeling Family can do that service real soon. Thank You.

    Fritz & Family,
So sorry to read about Mary’s passing. She was a very special lady. She sat with me at WW and she was doing so well with the program. May God comfort you during this time of sorrow. I will keep you in my prayers.

DYB, I don’t know who you are, but please don’t judge myself or my family until you have walked a mile in our shoes. We are planning a gathering and funeral for the 28th of January.

Schmeling family….we were shocked to hear of the fire and the loss of Mary and her dear dog. I am the daughter of Lorraine Burch who owns the other half of Mary’s town home. My memory was of hanging lights all the way across the garages, and my kids visiting with her and the puppy. She will be missed and our thoughts are with you at this difficult time!

I am shocked that there is someone out there questioning the decision of a family that has just lost a family member…closure comes to everyone at different times. There may be extenuating circumstances why there needs to be a wait for the memorial….no one knows but those closest to her. Please, next time, read your comment out loud before you post and may harm feelings of a family that is already in the worst place anyone could be at Christmas time!!

  • DYB

    Thank You – Schmeling Family

XYZ – don’t you have a name I at least used mine!!

Chuck and I are so sorry to hear of Mary’s death. Know that many prayers are being said for the Schmeling family. Know that God is with all of you at this time of sorrow and also remember that Mary will live on in the memories that you have shared with her in her 58 years. Our thoughts are with you. And who ever wrote that note about closure please say that you are sorry to make them remarks. “Judge not that you will be judged.”

Brian and Family-know that Viergal and I are thinking of you in this time. as for DYB it is not up to you to tell a family in this time what they need to do. It is up to them and has nothing to do with you. Marys family has every right to have the funeral when they want too.

  • Dave and Donna Telecky family

Fritz, David, Brian, Craig and families….Mary was such a great friend – so many wonderful memories. Our sympathy and God bless. Mary will always be in our hearts….

To me, when people are afraid to use their name, their comments are useless and should be ignored.

  • Cindy

I can’t begin to tell anyone how Mary’s death has affected me.Even though we were not sisters, we were cousins who shared many joys, heartbreaks, hugs, cokes and much laughter. She was the best and I will really miss her. I love you Mamie.
