I can’t begin to tell anyone how Mary’s death has affected me.Even though we were not sisters, we were cousins who shared many joys, heartbreaks, hugs, cokes and much laughter. She was the best and I will really miss her. I love you Mamie.

Fritz, David, Brian, Craig and families….Mary was such a great friend – so many wonderful memories. Our sympathy and God bless. Mary will always be in our hearts….

Brian and Family-know that Viergal and I are thinking of you in this time. as for DYB it is not up to you to tell a family in this time what they need to do. It is up to them and has nothing to do with you. Marys family has every right to have the funeral when they want too.

Chuck and I are so sorry to hear of Mary’s death. Know that many prayers are being said for the Schmeling family. Know that God is with all of you at this time of sorrow and also remember that Mary will live on in the memories that you have shared with her in her 58 years. Our thoughts are with you. And who ever wrote that note about closure please say that you are sorry to make them remarks. “Judge not that you will be judged.”

I am shocked that there is someone out there questioning the decision of a family that has just lost a family member…closure comes to everyone at different times. There may be extenuating circumstances why there needs to be a wait for the memorial….no one knows but those closest to her. Please, next time, read your comment out loud before you post and may harm feelings of a family that is already in the worst place anyone could be at Christmas time!!

Schmeling family….we were shocked to hear of the fire and the loss of Mary and her dear dog. I am the daughter of Lorraine Burch who owns the other half of Mary’s town home. My memory was of hanging lights all the way across the garages, and my kids visiting with her and the puppy. She will be missed and our thoughts are with you at this difficult time!
