The body of a missing man last seen riding an ATV was found in open water Friday on the west side of Rice Lake in Eden Lake Township and has now been identified as a Paynesville man.
Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says 65-year-old Michael Hickman was found along with an ATV. Sanner says Hickman lived near the lake.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office received a report at 4 p.m. Friday that a local resident was missing and had last been seen Thursday night riding an ATV. A search of the area led to the discovery of the body and the ATV in the water in Rice Lake east of Paynesville.
