A jury trial is scheduled in June for Delbert Edwin Huber, the 81-year-old rural Paynesville man indicted on first-degree murder charges for shooting and killing an Albertville man last October in northern Kandiyohi County.
In a scheduling order filed Monday, District Judge Michael Thompson set the 10-day trial to begin June 18th and continue through June 29th in Kandiyohi County District Court.
Huber and his son, 45-year-old Timothy John Huber were indicted by a Kandiyohi County grand jury on November 17th on first-degree premeditated murder charges. They also face second-degree intentional and unintentional murder charges for their roles in the October 8th death of 43-year-old Timothy Richard Larson of Albertville.
Delbert Huber allegedly shot Larson with a 303 British Enfield rifle during confrontation over the fact that Larson ordered the Huber’s and their farm equipment off farm property owned by Larson’s father in rural Belgrade.
