The Golden Valley man accused of killing a 19-year-old Henderson woman pleaded guilty to 1st-degree murder on Tuesday in Blue Earth County Court and was sentenced to life in prison.
19-year-old Christopher Tillman admitted to stabbing fellow MSU-Mankato student Josselyn Bishop multiple times and leaving her in a Mankato ditch to die on July 8th.
The 2 had reportedly been discussing their relationship when he got upset and stabbed her, and then chased her down as she attempted to flee. He then stabbed her several additional times.
In court on Tuesday, Tillman apologized to Bishop’s family, which was reportedly involved in the plea deal process.
Tillman had been facing a total of 13 charges, but pleaded guilty to 1st-degree murder while committing Domestic Abuse.
He will be eligible for parole in 30 years.
