A 23-year-old Nicollet man faces a gross misdemeanor theft charge for allegedly stealing around $800 worth of mobile home equipment.
Damien Lee Childers Baker and another man had been staying in a shed on a property in rural Nicollet when they reportedly stole a total of 7 mobile home axles and a motor home battery from the shed.
When questioned by police, Baker admitted to taking the axles and selling them. He said the owner of the shed had asked him to dispose of them.
The owner claims that Baker had been told to simply clean the shed up and make it presentable for a possible sale.
Baker faces up to a year in jail if convicted. His first appearance in court is scheduled for Tuesday.
