A fund has been created to help the family of a 7-year-old Montrose boy who was killed last week when a car ran a red light and hit him while he was waiting for his school bus.

Hayden Solien died Friday morning. He was a second-grader at Parkside Elementary in Buffalo.

The driver of the car, 47-year-old Robert Mercier of Arlington, also died in the crash.

Donations can go to The Hayden Solien Benefit Fund at Citizens State Banks in Montrose and Waverly.
