Guilty Plea in Crime Spree 24 Feb 12

A 20-year-old Willmar man pleaded guilty to theft charges in Meeker County District Court this week.

The West Central Tribune reports 20-year-old Chase John Hodapp pleaded guilty Wednesday to two felony charges of theft in Meeker County for stealing a trailer and an all-terrain vehicle in the Watkins area during a two-week crime spree last spring that included stealing, burning and crashing vehicles and setting fire to an occupied Willmar residence.

Hodapp will also make a plea and is scheduled to be sentenced March 5 in a Renville County case for stealing a pickup from a rural Olivia business.

Hodapp pleaded guilty earlier this month in Kandiyohi County District Court to eight charges; seven felonies for burglary, motor vehicle theft and property damage and one misdemeanor for theft. His sentencing in that case is also scheduled for March 5th.

Hodapp and 18-year-old Andrew Charles Wyman were both charged for the April 19th to May 3rd crime spree.
