A 20-year-old Willmar man was sentenced Monday to 39 months in prison for his role in a two-week crime spree last spring that included stealing, burning and crashing vehicles and setting fire to an occupied Willmar residence.
The sentence was handed down by District Judge Michael J. Thompson in Kandiyohi County District Court. Chase John Hodapp was ordered to pay $39,219.54 in restitution and $450 in fines and was given credit for 306 days already served in custody.
Hodapp also pleaded guilty and was sentenced on a Renville County case for stealing a pickup from a rural Olivia business. That 30 month prison sentence, plus two Meeker County sentences for theft, will be served concurrently with the Kandiyohi County sentence. A total of $4,080.36 in restitution was ordered in the Meeker County cases, for stealing ATVs and a trailer in the Watkins area.
