An Annandale teen starts his quest for a national fishing championship today. 18 year old James Chapman is at Bull Shoals Lake, Arkansas for the TBF National Championships. Chapman qualified for the tournament by coming in above the cut line at two separate fishing events the past couple summers, last summer finishing 2nd in Minnesota at the Regional fishing tournament. Chapman will be a Co-Angler in the Tournament…that starts off with a Pre-Fishing day today. Chapman said the pre-fishing day will be key to getting his strategy set for the tournament. There are 47 anglers in Chapmans Co-Angler division that he’ll be competing against. The top anglers from this tournament have the opportunity to move on to more big-money tournaments. Day 1 of the Competition is Tomorrow, with the Final Day Saturday. The TBF says that Chapman is by far their youngest competitor in the tournament.
