The Hutchinson Police Department was called to a home in Hutchinson last week for a possible domestic assault.
Authorities arrived at the house in the 100 block of 5th Avenue NE last Friday and heard a female yelling inside. They also observed a man with blood on his face and shirt running to the front of the residence and two men in a vehicle that was idling in the driveway. The man outside the vehicle told the officers that he had come to the house because he was concerned about the children inside. When he arrived another man told him to leave and punched him. Authorities are requesting charges for disorderly conduct against the 33-year-old man from Chanhassan.
A McLeod County Sheriff’s deputy assisted at the scene and talked to the men in the vehicle. He discovered that one of them, a 28-year-old man from Mound, was in possession of methamphetamine, and also had a Hennepin County Warrant for his arrest from Hennepin County for theft of property. He was arrested and taken to the McLeod County Jail.
The victim’s mother was also in the home at the time of the incident. The 49-year-old Darwin woman was arrested on a Meeker County Warrant for probation violation.
