The McLeod County Attorney’s Office is reviewing a case of theft reported in January for possible charges.
The Director of the New Discovery Charter School in Hutchinson reported to police that he discovered an irregularity in their bookkeeping on January 17th. After looking more closely at their books, Dave Conrad says he noticed the irregularities that led him to believe an employee had been taking money for personal use, which he estimated at $2,000.
Conrad told police that when he questioned the now former employee about the discrepancy, she said she borrowed the money and intended to pay it back. She said the total was about $1,150.
A complaint was sent to the county attorney’s office in early March for review of possible charges against the 43-year-old Belle Plaine woman.
