Hutchinson School Board Ratifies Contracts 12 Jun 12

The Hutchinson School Board has ratified new contracts with its three major unions as well as several individual contracts.

The board ratified 2, two-year contracts with the teachers union, Education Hutchinson. Including salary and benefits, the contract calls for a 2.84 percent increase in the first year, 2.51 percent the second year, 2.37 percent in year three, and a 2.07 percent increase in the fourth year.

The board also ratified two-year contracts with both the Local 284 union and the Hutchinson Education Support Professionals (or HESP).

The Local 284 contract calls for a 3.84 percent increase in the first year and a .94 percent increase in the second year. The HESP contract has a 2.88 percent increase in the first year and a 1.88 percent increase in the second year. Both of those contracts also reflect both salary and benefits.
