A Minnesota High School Hockey coach has been tapped to coach the United States World Junior Hockey team. Stillwater coach and former NHL’er Phil Housley will coach Team USA in the World Championships this winter in Russia. Housley has coached the Stillwater boys hockey team for the past 8 seasons, prior to that he was a seven time All Star in the NHL and played for 8 different teams. Housley went right from South St. Paul High School to the NHL in 1982 and would play in almost 1,500 games in his career. Housley’s team will be chose in August at a camp in Lake Placid.
