Thunderstorms continued to rumble through the area this morning (Tuesday) causing some damage.
Utility crews were called to a Lester Prairie residence in McLeod County early this morning after the resident reported a large three had fallen on their house.
The report came in just after 4am at a residence in the 100 block of North Elm Street.
Trees are also reported down in Dakota County.
Residents are still cleaning up after storms hammered parts of west-central and south-central Minnesota Sunday night.
Brian Fenske in Boon Lake Township in Renville County says he lost half-a-dozen trees on his lawn and the storm pretty much destroyed the north part of his grove.
At least 14 buildings were damaged by strong winds in Meeker County including six turkey barns and grain bins. One residence lost its roof and windows were blown out of a home in Atwater. The Atwater Cosmos Grove City football bleachers flipped onto the field.
A tornado was reported near Wheaton in Traverse County and funnel clouds were spotted in Chippewa, Swift, Lac Qui Parle, Pope, Kandiyohi and Renville counties.
Meeker Cooperative was still working hard Monday to restore power to members near Cedar Mills, Cosmos, Paynesville and Rosendale. Crews hoped to have power completely restored by late Monday night.
The Atwater substation was the worst hit and we have several crews working on rebuilding the power lines. Transmission companies are also working to rebuild the transmission structures that were blown down to restore power to this area. Officials say that construction is going to take some time and they will not have power restored to the Atwater substation until late Tuesday.
