Water Quality on Crow River 19 Jun 12

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is seeking comments on a water quality improvement report for the North Fork Crow River watershed, which flows through eight counties, mainly Stearns, Kandiyohi, Meeker, and Wright counties.

The report, known as a Total Maximum Daily Load, or T-M-D-L, focuses on pollution caused by bacteria, high turbidity, and low dissolved oxygen.

The study began in 2008 and is scheduled to be complete this year. A public comment period runs through July 18th.
