Two Rockford men have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a Rockford convenience store on June 17th.
Wright County Sheriff Joe Hagerty says on Tueday, 18-year-old Steven Keesling and 22-year-old Charles Bentley were arrested in Rockford for 1st degree robbery in connection with the robbery that occurred at the Casey’s store in Rockford.
Sheriff Hagerty is thanking the public for their willingness to help and assist in solving this crime.
On June 17th, at 10:50 PM the Wright County Sheriff’s Office responded to a hold up alarm at the Casey’s General Store in Rockford. Upon the deputy’s arrival, it was determined that an armed robbery had just occurred. An employee reported that two white males described as 6 feet tall with thin builds entered the store wearing black hoodies with blue bandanas covering their face. One of the individuals had a black handgun and the other had a short barreled shotgun. The suspects obtained an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled on foot.
