Holstein Show – June 25, 2012 25 Jun 12

The Minnesota State Holstein Show concluded this past weekend at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds in Hutchinson. The 2012 Show concluded Saturday. Judges placed 101 heifers and 97 cows for a total of 198 head.

Junior Champion was awarded to Strans-Jen-D Tequila-Red-ET exhibited by Reid Stransky & Cliff Helkennn. Reserve junior champion honors were awarded to Stranshome Gold Alyssum-ET exhibited by Joseph, Zach, Jerome & Darian Stransky.

Judge McKinvin selected first place senior three-year old, Schillview Gold Goldanne exhibited by Charles Schiller and Quentin Scott as intermediate champion. Reserve intermediate champion honors were awarded to Elginvue Goldplate Star-387 exhibited by Kenn Mueller.

Senior champion was awarded to Lida-Acres Cousteau Anna-ET exhibited by Dana & Maria Johnson. Reserve senior champion was presented to Jen-D Devil Tiffany-Red exhibited by Reid Stransky & Dana Johnson.

For grand champion judge McKinvin selected the intermediate champion Schillview Gold Goldanne, exhibited by Charles Schiller & Quentin Scott. She was also awarded best udder and top bred and owned of the show. Reserve grand champion honors and reserve bred and owned was awarded to the senior champion, and first place aged cow, Lida-Acres Cousteau Anna-ET exhibited by Dana & Maria Johnson.

Premier breeder and premier exhibitor banners were presented to Macland Holsteins. The 2013 State Show will be held in Owatonna, Minn.
