Public’s Help Needed in Renville County Crimes 25 Jun 12

Law Enforcement Agencies of Renville County are seeking the public’s assistance with unsolved crimes that occurred within Renville County during the month of June. Over the past month, law enforcement agencies in Renville County have taken several reports related to burglary, theft and damage to property. A brief description of the crimes reported, dates of the reports and items taken are as follows:

06/06/12 The Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary at a rural farm site north of Bird Island. The suspect(s) entered a residence while the homeowner was gone and took a chainsaw, air compressor and miscellaneous power and hand tools.

06/09/12 The Buffalo Lake Police Department received a report of a burglary from a business in Buffalo Lake. It was discovered that the front door of the business had been forced open and money was taken.

06/11/12 The Fairfax Police Department received a report of theft from a construction site at a local business. Items taken include power tools and a radio. The initials “ABS” were written in paint marker on the tools.

06/11/12 The Renville Police Department received a report of a burglary at the Renville County West School. Suspects entered an area of the school and took ice cream and candy.

06/11/12 The Renville County Sheriff’s Office received two theft reports from country clubs located in Renville County. At both locations pop machines were damaged and money was taken from them.

06/14/12 The Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary that occurred northwest of Morton. While the homeowner was gone, suspect(s) entered an outbuilding and took a chainsaw, generator, old car batteries and miscellaneous power and hand tools.
