The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from noon until midnight today (Monday).

The forecast for today is mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 94. Heat index values as high as 105. Light wind becoming south between 10 and 13 mph. Temperatures will stay in the 90′s throughout the week, with some relief expected Saturday when temps drop to the mid-80′s.

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. South southwest wind between 8 and 13 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 92. West wind between 3 and 6 mph.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. Light north northwest wind.

Independence Day: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 95. South southeast wind between 5 and 9 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 73.

Thursday: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 93.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 74.

Friday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 90.

Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 68.

Saturday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Officials say dehydration is one of the main concerns with these conditions and recommend drinking plenty of fluids and staying out of the heat, if possible.
