Twins Recall De Vries, Option Hendriks 03 Jul 12

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Cole De Vries from Triple-A Rochester.  In four starts for the Twins this season, De Vries has gone 2-1 with a 3.43 ERA (21.0 ip, 8 er) with seven walks and 15 strikeouts.  In 12 starts for the Red Wings, the right-hander went 3-5 with a 4.37 ERA (70.0 ip, 34 er) with 10 walks and 50 strikeouts.  This will be his third stint with the Twins in 2012.

To make room for De Vries on the 25-man roster, the Twins have optioned right-handed pitcher Liam Hendriks to Triple-A Rochester.
