SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has re-signed defenseman Justin Falk to a one-year contract for the 2012-13 season.
Falk, 23 (10/11/88), totaled nine points (1-8=9) and 54 penalty minutes (PIM) in 47 games for the Wild in 2011-12, averaging 19:30 time on ice/game. He has skated 72 games with the Wild over three seasons, notching 12 points (1-11=12) and 60 PIM. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound native of Snowflake, Alberta, was Minnesota’s fourth-round selection (No. 110 overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
