More Heat, But Cooler Days Ahead 06 Jul 12
An excessive heat warning remains in effect for southern Minnesota until 7 tonight (Friday), but “cooler” days are on the way.
The National Weather Service says:

Today: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny and hot, with a high near 92. East southeast wind 7 to 11 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon.

Tonight: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. West wind 8 to 13 mph becoming north northeast after midnight. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. North northeast wind around 11 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. North northeast wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming north northwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 64.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 82.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83.
