The United States Womens Olympic Basketball team got a tune up last night, beating Team Brazil in an exhibition game 99 to 67. Minnesota Lynx star Maya Moore is one of the three players with Minnesota ties on the team and says she’s thrilled to be a part of this team. Moore scored 11 points and had 6 rebounds in the game, but it was another Minnesota player that stole the show. Hutchinson native Lindsay Whalen scored 21 points and dished out 5 assists in a spot start for Sue Bird. The American women open up Olympic Play July 28th vs. Croatia.
