Arrest in Vehicle Break-ins 08 Aug 12

The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office is working with the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office who have identified three juvenile suspects and one adult male, and executed a search warrant that resulted in the recovery of various property.

It was learned that these suspects were involved in entering over 100 vehicles in Kandiyohi County, Meeker County, and the Grove City and Litchfield areas Sunday and Monday, August 5th and 6th.

Early Monday morning, the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a citizen in the city of Kandiyohi that someone was breaking into a vehicle near his residence. Deputies responded and apprehended the four suspects. A search of the suspects vehicle found numerous electronic equipment, iPads, iPods, knives, mulit-purpose tools, GPS devices, and cash.

Sheriff Jeff Norlin advises anyone who feels they may be a victim in any of these incidents to contact your Sheriff’s Office, or local Police Department and report the incident.
