The trial of a Gibbon area farmer accused of selling raw milk is set to get underway on Tuesday.
59-year-old Michael O. Hartmann is also accused of selling other unpasteurized dairy products, as well as uninspected meat.
He has been charged with a total of 9 counts alleging that the raw milk and other products he was selling were contaminated with E-coli and other pathogens, and then he continued to sell the products despite a state embargo being instituted on his farm in 2010.
He faces up to a year in jail, if convicted.
