Hutchinson police are investigating the report of thousands of dollars in coins taken from a home on 5th Avenue Northeast.

Authorities say a resident living in the 100 Block of 5th Avenue reported Tuesday afternoon that numerous coins were taken from several coin books.

The owner estimated the stolen coins were worth about $30,000.
