More Copper and Tool Thefts 11 Sep 12

Hutchinson police took a couple more reports of copper and tools being stolen from Hutchinson businesses.

On Saturday morning, an employee with Plumbing and Heating by Craig at 680 Highway 7 East reported a lock was cut on one of their trucks, sometime overnight Friday or early Saturday. Tools and copper were taken, totaling over $2,000.

Later Saturday afternoon, Tek Mechanical on 5th Avenue NW discovered a lock on one of their truck had a broken lock. Tools valued at about $1,100 were taken. That was the second time in as many days that Tek Mechanical had been hit.

Police say they have some leads that they are investigating related to those and other recent burglary and thefts.
