At their latest fall meeting the North Star Baseball League voted a new team into the league. The Waverly-Montrose Stingers were welcomed into the league Monday night. The Stingers will be the 12th Class C Team into the league, and the 16th overall team.

In other North Star News, postseason awards were announced. They include:

MVP East: Tyler Maher, Loretto

MVP West: Chad Raiche, Maple Lake

MVP North: Jeff Jarvis, Albertville

MV Pitcher East: Adam McGrane, Loretto

MV Pitcher West: Jeremy Schmidt, Maple Lake

MV Pitcher North: Aaron Pipenhagen, Elk River

Manager of the Year: Chad Raiche, Maple Lake
