Two people were injured in a sideswipe crash west of Danube Friday morning.

The State Patrol says 22-year-old Sean Ziesmer of Olivia was driving his car east on Highway 212. A semi, hauling beets, was traveling westbound and was being driven by 57-year-old Joe Chavarria of Redwood Falls.

The State Patrol says the vehicles collided in the eastbound lane.

Ziesmer was airlifted to HCMC for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Chavarria was taken to the Renville County Hospital were he was treated and released.

The crash happed just after 7:30 Friday morning.
