A tractor and train collided Wednesday morning as a farmer was on his way to take corn to the near by ethanol plant.
Information on the fatal accident near Lamberton was released this morning (Thursday) by the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office.
43-year-old Chad Nelson Anderson of Revere was crossing the railroad tracks at the Harvest Avenue railroad crossing-south of US highway 14, driving a John Deer Tractor with an attached wagon. As a result of the crash, Anderson was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Canadian Pacific Train Engine out of Waseca was being driven by Alex Hanson age 25, who did not suffer any injuries. The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office and Rail-line will investigate the crash.
The Lamberton Police, Fire, Rescue and Lamberton Ambulance assisted on the scene.
