A Candidate’s Forum will be held on Monday, October 15th at 6:30 p.m. at the Hutchinson Event Center. The event is sponsored by the McLeod for Tomorrow Leadership Program, a program designed to promote community engagement throughout McLeod County.
At this session you will have an opportunity to meet the candidates running to represent the citizens of State Senate District 18 and State House Districts18A and 18B.
Candidates will introduce themselves, address their reasons for seeking office and answer questions on key issues. A “Team Problem-Solving Clinic” also will be conducted with each candidate posing one question to a small group on what they see as a critical need or issue. The groups will discuss the issues and generate answers to the candidates’ questions.
“The event is a good opportunity to meet and evaluate candidates firsthand,” said Tracy Hassan, a volunteer coordinating the event. “Citizens are invited to join in discussions or simply listen.”
To facilitate the event, an RSVP is requested but not required. You can RSVP by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 484-4441.
Coffee, juice, and rolls will be provided.
